Van Donge & De Roo features on global education platform

The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce is a proud partner of Project Explorer. Project Explorer’s mission is to bring the world into the classroom with free multimedia content and lesson plans that improve students’ global awareness and cross cultural understanding.

Via this partnership, the Netherlands Chamber was able to provide its partners Van Donge en De Roo and the Rijksmuseum a global platform to introduce the Port of Rotterdam as the largest port of Europe and the Rijksmuseum with the Night Watch.

Founded in 2003, multi award-winning ProjectExplorer.org a non-profit organization in New York, was a pioneer in creating and distributing online videos for students at a time when web video was, at best, an experiment. Today their growing catalog includes more than 10 hours of globally-focused original videos and dozens of lesson plans. Nearly 6 million students have used their online materials to become more globally and culturally aware.

“Van Donge en de Roo supports the education and growth of students in both The Netherlands and the rest of the world”, said Dennis de Roo member of D&R management team. “This is one of the reasons why we showed them around the port of Rotterdam, as our head office is located in this gateway to Europe and we are surrounded by water, we of course did this by boat or better said “water cab”.
